Draken Asher has been playing around Indianapolis since 2016. Starting in cafes and Open Mics at age 10. He built a diverse repertoire of songs from old timey Blues to 60’s era psychadelic Rock. He released his first cd when he was 15 called ‘slug.’ (the period is important) under the name slugboy and a small follow up EP at 17, with what he calls acid folk. He is due in studio in June to record his newest venture. He attended the Pinetop Perkins Blues Workshops in 2017 and 2018, studying his craft, learning harmonica from acclaimed harpists Phil Wiggins and Deak Harp in 2017. In 2018, he attended a guitar workshop with Australian Blues Woman Fiona Boyes, all under the musical direction of Bob Margolin of the Muddy Waters Band. He quickly earned a reputation for bringing a blend of intricate guitar and melodic vocals to every performance. He does a wide mix of solo acoustic Blues, Folk, and Psychedelic rock with originals and covers.
