Firehouse Subs and MMF Launch First Responder Appreciation Program
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (June 25, 2026) — Master Musicians Festival is proud to announce a new partnership with Firehouse Subs Somerset and Danville that will provide complimentary admission to all Pulaski County and Boyle County first responders during MMF33 through the new First Responder Appreciation Program.
The First Responder Appreciation Program was created as a way to recognize and thank the men and women who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting our communities. Through the program, eligible first responders from Pulaski and Boyle Counties may attend the 33rd Annual Master Musicians Festival free of charge by presenting a valid department-issued ID, badge, or credentials at the festival entrance gate on either Friday, July 17, or Saturday, July 18.
The initiative is made possible through the support of Firehouse Subs Somerset and Danville owner Matt Roe. Founded by firefighters, Firehouse Subs has built its brand around supporting first responders and public safety professionals, making the partnership a natural fit.
Master Musicians Festival Executive Director Tiffany Finley said the organization was proud topartner with a company whose mission closely aligns with the spirit of the program.
“First responders are often the first people we call during life’s most difficult moments,” Finley said. “They serve our communities with courage, compassion, and professionalism every day. We wanted to find a meaningful way to recognize those sacrifices, and Firehouse Subs immediately understood that vision. We are incredibly grateful to Matt Roe and his team for helping us honor the people who work every day to keep our communities safe.”
Finley noted that MMF has recently expanded efforts to recognize groups that make a meaningful impact throughout Kentucky and the Lake Cumberland region.
“Through our Next Generation Program, we celebrate local high school graduates. Through our Veteran Honors Program, we recognize those who have served our country. The First Responder Appreciation Program allows us to thank the men and women who continue serving our communities every day
Matt Roe, owner of Firehouse Subs Somerset and Danville, said supporting first responders is deeply rooted in the company’s identity.
“Firehouse Subs was founded by firefighters, so supporting first responders has always been at the heart of who we are,” Roe said. “These men and women put service above self every single day. Whether they are responding to emergencies, protecting our neighborhoods, or helping families through difficult situations, they make our communities stronger. We are honored to partner with Master Musicians Festival to recognize their contributions and give them an
opportunity to enjoy a great weekend of music and fellowship.”
The First Responder Appreciation Program reflects both organizations’ commitment to service, community, and gratitude. Eligible firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, dispatchers, corrections officers, and emergency management professionals from Pulaski and Boyle Counties simply need to present a valid department-issued ID, badge, or credentials at the festival entrance gate to receive complimentary admission.
Admission is limited to one complimentary admission per first responder. No advance registration is required.
Master Musicians Festival will celebrate its 33rd anniversary July 17-18, 2026, in Somerset, Kentucky. The festival continues its mission of bringing world-class music and arts experiences to rural Kentucky while remaining affordable and accessible to people of all walks of life.
